Wyvern College New 3G Training pitch

Velocity Sports recently worked in partnership with Hampshire County Council and Wyvern College to deliver a high specification 3G training pitch in Fair Oak.

The project was delivered through the Hampshire County Council Landscape & External Works Framework, of which Velocity Sports are an approved supplier.

The project consisted of the conversion of the school’s existing waterlogged sports field to a competition standard 3^rd Generation artificial football surface with high level perimeter fencing, state of the art LED floodlighting plus associated hard and soft landscaping.

The pitch has several unique factors which help it to stand out including a blue perimeter fencing system to match school colours and a green polymeric infill instead of the traditional black rubber crumb.

Velocity Sports Ltd were responsible for undertaking the detailed design and construction process and completed the project in 16 weeks, handing the pitch back to the delighted College just prior to the summer holidays.
