Velocity delivered their first project of 2018 in February by handing over a state of the art 3G football and rugby pitch to the Lancing based Sir Robert Woodard Academy (SRWA).
Having seen Velocity’s work first hand at the Sussex County FA (link to Case Study) the Academy were in no doubt that Velocity were the Academies preferred contracting partner and works started in October 2017, following a lengthy and ultimately successful planning award.
The new facilities which include a 5 – 8m high perimeter fencing, 8 mast 200 lux raise and lower floodlighting system, World Rugby and FIFA certified 3G pitch plus a new athletics track, acoustic fencing, equipment provision and various associated hard and soft landscaping.
The scheme, managed by Quantity Surveying firm McCombs was completed in 20 weeks and handed over to the Academy just after the half term break.
