After a lengthy planning and construction process spring 2021 saw Maidstone Grammar School for Boys open their outstanding new sports facility.
The new sports hub comprises a fully compliant FIFA and World Rugby 3rd Generation all weather pitch, a triple non turf cricket net, a new polymeric long/triple jump and a new natural grass rugby pitch.
Having been awarded the contract following a competitive tender process, Velocity Sports worked in partnership with leading consultancy practice Surfacing Standards who designed and managed the project.
The construction phase of the project involved significant earthworks, drainage, civil works, perimeter and acoustic fencing, floodlighting, various synthetic and hardstanding surfacing and landscaping works was delivered in 24 weeks and carried out in strict accordance with the approved plans.

We are so pleased with our new all-weather surface. The finished product is even better than we had hoped it would be. During the construction programme we found Velocity staff to be hard working, knowledgeable, helpful and extremely friendly.
