Velocity Sports Ltd have recently upgraded the 12-year-old sand dressed Astro turf at Lipson Academy in Plymouth
The school opted for Velocity due to the wide range of product choice on offer and the ability to cater for a hockey led facility which was also used for football training in the evenings to generate revenue.
The scope of works included refurbishing the existing pitch and shockpad with new plus repair works to the surround fencing.
The schools MUGA also had new floodlighting and perimeter fencing installed and Velocity donated a second hand artificial grass surface to the school to help prolong the usage of an area which was falling into a state of disrepair.
The facility was successfully tested to FIH National standards upon completion and provides a valuable sporting, community and financial asset to the school.
