Horsham FC Hornets relocate to Hop Oast

Following many years of planning, 2019 saw Velocity Sports Ltd complete the relocation of Horsham FC from their temporary home in Lancing to a new purpose-built facility back in Horsham.

The ambitious project consisted of the delivery of a 1^st XI 3G stadium pitch, 3G training pitch, new macadam car park plus all ancillary works including floodlighting, fencing, stands, footpaths as well as all hard and soft landscaping.

The design and build contract, executed directly by Horsham Football Club, included satisfying pre commencement planning conditions related to ecology, floodlighting, drainage, levels, landscaping and noise.

The project was overseen by Robin Bishop from TDS (Southern) Ltd who performed a valuable role in co-ordinating the project from concept to completion.

Both pitches were successfully tested to FIFA standards upon completion, with the stadium pitch achieving FIFA Quality Pro and the training pitch certified to FIFA Quality standards by an independent test house.

The scheme was completed on time and on budget, despite testing ground and weather conditions and left a facility which everyone associated with the club can be proud of, to that extent, the facility was recently voted ‘The Best New Non-League Ground’ in the Country so many congratulations and thanks to all involved!
