With the help of consultants Surfacing Standards and specialist contractors Velocity Sports Ltd, Homewood School have made a significant investment in their sports facilities by upgrading their old redgra hockey pitch.
The redgra, which was suffering from drainage issues and was not utilised to it’s maximum due to the out of date surface and has been used to develop a superb new fenced and floodlit 3G artificial grass football pitch.
The project was on site for just 14 weeks with students having first use of the new facility after the October half term, 2018.
The new pitch, which has been tested to FIFA standards, can be used for matches and training and is already proving popular with students and the local community football teams alike.
