Velocity Sports Ltd were delighted to work with the Mike Gooley Trailfinders Charity once again, this time to produce an exceptional new facility for joint usage between Ealing Trailfinders RFC and Brunel University.

The project involved the design and build of a temporary gym facility and World Rugby certified 3G pitch including perimeter fencing, floodlighting, equipment provision as well as the associated hard and soft landscaping.

The turnkey project scope included:

  • Completion of design works
  • Obtaining necessary licences and permits
  • Site clearance and enabling works, including disposal of approx. 1,200m3 of soil
  • from site to licensed tipping venue.
  • Earthworks and drainage including connection into highway.
  • All civil works including pitch base, car parking, retaining walls and concrete
  • base for new temporary building.
  • Perimeter fencing to pitch and site.
  • Floodlighting improvement works.
  • All associated M&E works including provision of new power supply and air
  • conditioning system for new gym.
  • Installation of new bespoke coaching tower.
  • Sports equipment fit out.
  • Installation of a World Rugby certified 3G surfacing system
  • All associated hard and soft landscaping
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Maintenance of new facility

With an unstable market and the backdrop of COVID it was testament to the Velocity team that the project ran to the agreed programme and was delivered within budget, ensuring a high-quality facility was handed over to a delighted client.
