As of the summer of 2023 King’s Academy Brune Park in Gosport are the proud owners of a full-size FIFA certified 3G training pitch.
Working in partnership with Velocity Sports the school realised their ambition to enhance their sporting offering, engage with the local football community and provide a valuable income stream to the Academy.
Velocity progressed the scheme from concept to completion and were engaged in March 2022 to undertake initial surveys, outline design and obtain planning consent for the project.
The construction of the pitch commenced in early 2023 and included a fully engineered base, FIFA approved 3G playing surface, robust high-level perimeter fencing and energy efficient LED floodlighting.
The pitch was opened in June 2023 to much acclaim and the facility is now in regular use by pupils and local community users alike.
