Chigwell School New 3G Training pitch

Pupils of the prestigious independent Chigwell School are benefitting from a significant investment in a new all-weather playing surface.

Working in partnership with incumbent contractors ATB Sports Solutions, Velocity Sports were responsible for the construction of the pitch including fully engineered base, shock absorbing layer, FIFA approved 3G playing surface, robust high-level perimeter fencing and energy efficient LED floodlighting.

The pitch also included ancillary works to cater for spectators, storage of free-standing sports equipment and regular maintenance equipment to ensure the ongoing usage and operation of the facility had been adequately considered.

The pitch was opened in April 2021 by Sir Geoff Hurst to much acclaim and the facility is now in regular use by pupils and local community users alike.
