In the summer holidays of 2018 Velocity Sports Ltd carried out a 3G pitch refurbishment at Knights templar School in Hertfordshire.
The project was competitively tendered, and Velocity were awarded the contract based on providing the best value tender submission when evaluated against a combination of quality and cost.
The project involved the removal and recycling of the existing 11-year-old 3rd generation surface, remedial works to repair the underlying shockpad followed by installation of a new 40mm 3G turf system.
The pitch was marked for football and hockey and works were completed in less than 4 weeks being handed back to a delighted client ahead of schedule and under budget.
