Velocity Sports Ltd recently handed over an FIH certified hockey pitch to a delighted Broadwater School, Godalming.
The works involved the resurfacing of the existing water-based surface with a new state of the art sand-dressed hockey pitch which can also be used for multi sports.
The project involved the removal and safe disposal of the existing surface and insitu shockpad.
This macadam base was then surfaced with a 15mm insitu rubber crumb shockpad and 18mm pile texturised monofilament sand dressed artificial hockey surface from TigerTurf.
The surface is also home to the well regarded Guildford Hockey Club who selected a striking blue pitch with green surround using the FIH Approved Evo Pro surface.
The scheme, overseen by MUGA UK Ltd, was completed within 8 weeks of order confirmation.
The feedback from users, both from the school and those of Guildford Hockey Club has been exceptional.
