In May 2018 Velocity Sports Ltd carried out a triple 3G pitch refurbishment on behalf of Islington Council.
The project involved replacing existing 3G pitches within the borough at Paradise Park, Whittington Park and Rosemary Gardens.
The extent of the works involved the removal and recycling of the existing surfaces and shockpads plus varying degrees of remedial works to the existing bases from minor repair works to complete macadam overlay.
Once the bases had been checked for porosity and tolerances, new shockpads were laid in advance of the 3G artificial surfacing.
Upon completion all pitches were successfully tested in line with FA standards and placed on the FA 3G pitch register for a period of three years.
