Ealing Trailfinders RFC Phase 1 - New 3G surface at Valiis Way

down

Velocity Sports Ltd were contacted by Ealing Trailfinders RFC (ETRFC) in June 2014 with a view to converting their existing natural grass stadium pitch at Vallis Way into a 3rd Generation surface, suitable for professional standard rugby.

With expertise in both natural and artificial pitches Velocity were quickly able to identify the options available to Ben Ward of ETRFC and once the initial investigations had been undertaken, a suitable design was agreed and a deal was struck.

The pitch, which incorporates the aspirational BROCK performance base and RHINO VT60 3G surface, also used by London Irish RFC, was completed in 7 weeks and upon completion the pitch received full IRB regulation 22 approval.

"Using Velocity Sports Ltd for our new pitch has been effortless. They arrived mid-June and the pitch was ready for training by the end of July, which was a fantastic turnaround. Our new pitch means our new squad get to deliver the fast running rugby we like to play."

Eagle-eyed fans will also have noticed brand new first XV pitch post protectors and on pitch-side sponsorship boards.

The contract was deemed such a success that Velocity agreed a comprehensive sponsorship package to support ETRFC for their first season on the new 3G pitch.

“We worked closely with the club to evaluate the options available to them and to ensure we delivered a high quality and sustainable solution. The project has been a huge success for all involved and we are very proud to sponsor Ealing Trailfinders in what I am sure will be a fantastic season for the club,”

said Joe Boniface, Sales Director of Velocity Sports Ltd.
