Dartford Borough Council 3G Pitch Refurbishment at Princes Park

In October 2016 Velocity Sports Ltd carried out a 3G pitch refurbishment at Dartford FC on behalf of Dartford Borough Council.

The project was competitively tendered and Velocity were awarded the contract based on providing the best value tender submission when evaluated against a combination of quality and cost.

The project involved the removal and recycling of the existing 11 year old 3rd generation surface, removal and safe storage of the existing shockpad, remediation and drainage improvement works to the underlying stone base followed by installation of the shockpad and new 60mm 3G turf system.

The contract was completed in less than 5 weeks with positive feedback received from the consultants (SSL) client (DBC) and users (Dartford FC) alike.

Upon completion the pitch was successfully performance tested in line with FA standards and placed on the FA 3G pitch register for a period of three years.
