After the much-publicised success of the 3G pitch conversion at Ealing Trailfinders RFC, Velocity Sports Ltd were invited back in 2016 to deliver a new 7,000m2 training pitch and car park facility.
Ben Ward commented “Our overall experience was very positive from the initial installation and the overwhelming feedback has been so positive from the players that we convinced the chairman that a 3G training facility was the next logical step”
The scheme, undertaken in the close season of 2016, comprised the conversion of the existing natural grass training pitch to 3G to match the specification of the main pitch.
There was also the construction of a new macadam car park and upgrades for the existing macadam tennis courts, one was converted to 3G for football and rugby training and the other overlaid with new macadam and colour coated to provide an improved facility for tennis, netball and basketball.
